Indeed! What preamp are you using them in, and how do they sound?
I love those JJs in my Mac pre. Never tried any 7025s...
Follow Ups:
It's my first time trying the JJ E83CC! I'm actually more into guitar amps and such, so these are going into V1/V2 stages to gauge color, tone, and reliability. I have a good feeling about them!
So far, the 7025EH is actually pretty good in my buddy's JCM2000. It was on a single JBL E120 8ohm load (which is SUPER sensitive and great ear-checking noisefloors). I see why it's a good one for high-gain applications. They're have a bit less gain, but not drastically so, which is nice in my opinion. Tonally, it's definitely an upgrade for the money spent over a lower-priced tube. I found cleans played warm and smooth, and it remained cohesive once the gain was cranked. Microphonics are essentially none-existent in my vigorous finger-tap-test. The real show stealing quality here is they're REALLY quiet - incredible noisefloor! Just... dead quiet!
I'd need to test the Preferred Series 7025 again, but I remember it being kind of like an upgraded Shuguang on steroids. They have a "forward" mid-to-upper-mid range character last I recall, which can be good and bad depending on the amp. I'm giving them another go to see how they do in a variety of amps to see where they fit best.
I'll be testing the JJs soon enough!

May your tubes be lively, warm, and long-lasting. Holy be thy heater.
....why the JBL?
Well, I admit it wasn't exactly my first choice. Years ago, it was going to be installed it into a combo, but that idea fell through, so I had an E120 hanging around.
Now, I use it as part of my repair bench for listening for sound faults, blips, bops, and dooply-dos. It's loaded into a small 1x12 cab, which I bought empty locally. The back panel of the cab had two jacks; I wired one jack to the 8ohm E120, and the other to an 8ohm 200W dummy load resistor.
It sounds excessive, but it's very useful. I deal with a lot of vintage 100W RMS heads, which notoriously blow right passed their rating. So, it's a lot of power handling in a very small package that I can tuck away very easily.
The main drawback is that the E120, when pushed, is freaking insane. My brother loaded a 4x12 with E120s... And WOW... Loudest damned thing I've ever heard. That was the day I understood the effects of a decibel sensitivity rating...

That JJ frame-grid 12AX7 is a fantastic tube.
I use ten 12AX7s between all my gear and that E83CC is all I use. That's how much I like them!
A really excellent tube.

Well enjoy them! I'm afraid guitar amps are beyond my scope. But it's always good to hear about quiet 12ax7 type tubes.
