you say "hum on my VTL monoblocks for a while now" meaning you didn't have it before?

1st if so, then disconnect the amp from everything else except speakers, then turn the amp on. Does it still hum? If so, the problem is with the amp and the wall power. If not, it will be something up the chain or an interaction with the power amp. 1st things 1st though.
