my understanding was the winged C was always printed on the tube AND box until New Sensor took over. I never had Svetlana 6550's but all my el34's were winged C with bright, thick red lettering because I bought them earlier than 98.

I used a lot of them for Marshall repairs.

I used to live "under" that logo - just a block from the factory, I spent a lot of time within its walls. That logo was there at least from the fifties, and all the way through the eighties.
