Guy got "5V4GA" from seller. But, looks like no other 5V4GA I've seen (albeit, I haven't seen that many). Any ideas?
Thanks!

If it is about the size of a 5y3g mavbe a 5z4 in a different envelope

Are there even two separate plates in there? It sort of looks like a damper diode.
The photos are from another board. Not my tube. Here's is last photo.
If there is any.
Thanks!
I'm aware of no octal equivalent to 6CA4 although 6AX5 is close (somewhat lower current rating).
5AR4/GZ34. ;> )

For his vintage Fender Champ amp. Not sure why he bought this tube(s) ---he bought 5 --- as good, known, old-school 5Y3GT are available.I like the GE 6087 and Bendix 6016 for precious amps. But, really any NOS GE, RCA, Sylvania, TS commercial grade 5Y3GT is fine.
Thanks, for trying to find out what this tube really is. I don't think I've seen this sized octal rectifier, with those plates and bottom square getter. Theoretically, a 5-volt type.

The 6106 and 6087/5Y3WGTB have cathode sleeves, but are still limited to 125 mA. The 6CA4/EZ81 is rated for 150 mA.
I said, tongue in cheek, 5AR4/GZ34 due to it and the 6CA4/EZ81 being comparatively tolerant of a large 1st filter capacitance.
AFAIK, 150 mA. is as "tall" as it gets in Noval rectifiers. If you choke I/P filter, a GZ37 is good for 350 mA.

I am sure you are aware what a sylvania glass marking looks like. And as all the "recent" Sylvania tubes had a glass etched marking. I have a couple of different Sylvania 5v4g , ga, and none look like that. So not Sylvania would make it much more strange. The side rods are not familiar for the 5v4 maybe a 5v3?
