I like them a lot along with GE, Sylvania, and RCA, in my single ended amps. But, truthfully, the metal bodied 6l6 is an excellent sounding tube and can be bought for way less. Whatever you choose be sure to check the plate voltage of your amp as the voltage limits of the 6l6 and 6l6g tubes are not as high as GB and GC types.

They are 19 watt dissipation too which is much less than the 6L6GCs.
And the metal tube shell is connected to pin 1. So if the socket its plugged into uses pin 1 as a tie point - whatever voltage is on pin one will be on the metal shell of the tube! That could be deadly, so be VERY careful with the metal tubes!!
