I just met Uncle Doug on YouTube. If, like me you are circuit-challenged, take a look at his many videos. Yes, Uncle Doug is for beginners. But I found the videos I watched to be a beginners wake-up call.
For example, his discussion of output transformers helped me to understand how to match tube amp OPTs with your speakers.
The only basic question left for me is what happens as the impedance load of the speaker varies tremendously, say from 6 to over 20 Ohms as frequency changes, but the mfr says it is an 8 Ohm, nominal, speaker? This is true of many 8 Ohm LS3/5As.

Though I will never build anything, I've enjoyed Doug's videos. He explains things in a way even I can understand. Sometimes I know where he's going or what he's about to sat, which feels good. It tells me I do have some basic knowledge....just not enough to build.

Thanks I will be watching.
