Any one have any info on the Audible Illusions Mini-Mite II amplifier
I have some specs
Lookiing for a manual and a schematic
Follow Ups:
I have found all the easy stuff- yes most likely it is a Bruce Moore design
I do not have it yet. The amp is on it's way. I am going to variac it slowly up then listen to it. After that I am going to replace all caps and some the the crucial resistors with more current better parts.
I was looking for a schematic and a manual. I do have the Matching Mini Mite preamp that has been totally rebuilt by me.
Check out the link-
My suspicion is that it is a Bruce Moore Circuit-
Very curious
Happy Listening
Judging by how AI laid out theirs. Not speaking to the sound quality but a company as well known as AI could have laid out the OPTs any way that they wanted and choose to have theirs with the laminations in line instead of at 90 degrees to the PT, as convention dictates. And how does this amp sound? cheers.
Probably doesn't make much difference in a push-pull circuit. The secondary of the output transformers typically have a fair amount of 120 Hz common-mode energy applied at the CT from the power supply. That doesn't show up at the outputs unless it's extremely high.

But there is no such thing as a perfect split phase so there is going to be some noise artifacts that may not cancel, but instead sum. I think i hear it more now that i am using high efficiencey Altecs.
