Mike, the more and more I look around AND spend my nights listening to my own gear, I have to ask myself - where AM I going with this.
Seems like I am just trying to burn some cash.
I think perhaps I'll use it to finish up my current setup. Keep the CJ preamp and VTA, get the GL KT88s, look into proper cables and finally get that Rythmic subwoofer.
With the left overs maybe I'll look into a Bottlehead or something fun to play with.
Follow Ups:
Charles.... as I've said, look at the strength of your source components and all the various tweak/cable/tube rolling possibilities. You've got enough amplifier combinations to play with. What you're trying to accomplish doesn't need another amplifier that ends up in your storage closet.
I"m trying to find better network players. Seems my Marantz IS the better one.
"System Strengths: It sounds great to me and I no longer have the time or the money to kept playing around. Besides it looks sooo good now.System Weaknesses: none worth replacing stuff and starting over for. Besides nothing seems to keep up with that little Sherwood S-5000"
Hangin' on AA and reading mags (which are really just industry supported sales tools) can spark needlessly spending bucks on equipment when you're already enjoying the hell outta music via the playback system you currently own.

But,but, but...
That was sooo five minutes ago! :)))
Nobody needs people like you anyway.
And what positive contribution do you make, fan boi?
I could tell you that a fool and his money are soon parted, but that had been said centuries ago, so I won't.
As I've just posted I don't how I can improving upon my current setups. I never thought in my wildest dreams I'd have this much cash and no where to go with it. But it's happening.
So I figure why not finish it off with cables, Rhymic sub, improve on the source and try those Stillpoints.
So I'm going to start looking for a better network player.
