measure the voltage going to the GZ37 with the KR and then the EML tubes.Being the tubes use the same filament supply as the rect tube,that is probably what you are seeing.
Honest amplification is better than excessive 2nd order distortion anytime.

The Art Audio Jota HC monoblocks IMO has to have at least 3 separate filament supplies.
One for the rectifier tube and one for each output tube.
If all three windings are common to one power transformer (along with the HT winding) and if one power tube, compared to the other, draws more plate current maybe that's loading the whole power transformer down and lowering the filament winding's voltages.
But I don't know if the plate current is being adjusted when the output tubes are changed or if it can be adjusted without changing cathode the resistor value.
Something for Jay to think about.

I don't know the amp so I was just guessing that if he is losing filament brightness,that would be a logical step but if they have three filament sources,that would alleviate that theory.
