1950's genuine UK Brimar made ECC83 12AX7, orange print is special selected version.Dark plate with 45 degree large square getter, orange Brimar logo silkscreen, this version sounding excellent, the king of ECC83 and better than Mullard mC1 square getter!!
Sound of these tubes with a McIntosh C2300 used with a MC402 with Dynaudio Confidence 5 speakers.
This pair is matched with identical date code "Q 3 10 7", with perfect Brimar silkscreen on tube.
They test on AVO CT160 test (0.5 is minimum)
Tube#1: 1.3 / 1.3
Tube#2: 1.3 / 1.3

Who the hell makes all this crap up ? Absolute nonsense . That means more or less every Brimar of that era is a specially selected version .
There are far too many wankers out there trying to squeeze the last cent out of gullible buyers !

Your so correct. But some like the print I guess. I passed on them he was asking $235.00...now way jose for any tube.

It's not the print with Brimar's but the 'T' for 'Trustworthy' logo tubes that are top-notch . These really were the cream of the crop , not necessarily selected for audio though...........
Al
Best way is to try them out in your system. I'm going to take a wild stab and guess that they sound very much like late 1940's-early 1950's Sylvania JAN-JHS 12AX7's. Let's see if I'm close.
