Hello, I'm new to this board, and at the risk of asking something that's already been answered (I did look around a bit first...), can someone throw some names of tube amp or int. amp kit manufacturers? I'm bottom fishing here price-wise ($500), but does that rule out SET amps? I've seen Cary's AES stuff...and saw reference to Sun Audio also. Any others? Normally my budget would be more in line w/ reality, but suddenly I'm sick of paying big bills. Call it a reaction. Thanks!
Check Decware.com The Zen kit is under 500 and the sound is wonderful. The website is amazing, it offer photos of each step for assembling. One thing you have to remember is that Zen is less powerful than Doc B's amp, otherwise it's a steal for the price. Have fun and a nice amp.
I also agree, Doc B's kits are an excellent way to get into single ended magic.
i second the electronic tonalities idea. i built the parasex mono's and the foreplay preamp, best $500 i ever spent.
Have you looked at Doc's stuff? The Electronic Tonalities kits are very reasonable. As soon as the Paramour kits are available, I'll be building a pair. How's $399 for a pair of monoblock 2A3's, and a preamp for a hundred bucks sound? Just fits that $500.00 limit.

What about "Antique sound " , "Passion Audio Kits" , "triode supply Japan"
