They sound muffled. In comparative terms, no high freqency air or detail, no snap or sparkle. Kinda boring.

The ones I have are chrome domes but with brown bases. They test quite strong on my Hickok, so that's not the problem, I think it's just a matter of a bad sounding vintage.
