I have seen some 12AX7 by RCA with short, rlatively wide plates. Are there American 12AX7 or equivalents with long, wide plates? Which types have the widest plates? I would be very interested in this, because I am trying a lot of different European 12AX7 in different configurations. Thanks for reply!

Follow Ups:
I call the RCA 12AX7 short or tall flat ribbed plates. If a wide plate version exists, I have never viewed it.The short plate is approximately 12.5mm tall & the tall plate are 17mm in height. I prefer RCA tall plate 12AX7s. Some of these 17mm tall plates are also used in the RCA 7025.

It seems my English is not so good....
I am not interested in the high of the plates, but in the distance between the two halfs of one plate. If you look the plates, you would perhaps tell it depth.
Does anybody know the American 12AX7 with the biggest depth? Is it the old GE one?

I have an old Sylvania 12AX7 with center 'bump' type shiney black plates and a wide extension on each side of that center 'bump' plate area. It is like an extra wide plate section to increase the plate dissapation and it extends almost to the glass. The plate height is approximately 13mm.The tube has a square getter, thus is most likely a 1950s era tube.
