Has anyone used other than 12AX7 or its equivalents, e.g. 12AU7 or others? I'm using RCA black plates that produce a wide open, transparent mid and upper, but the warmth is gone. Any suggestions for 12AX7's or others that will retrieve the warmth?

MSA,The Mullard ECC83 is a nice, well-balance, front end tube. Kinda like Heerlen made Holland Philips ECC83.
TFK's are strong and clean tubes, too.
