I wish to tube roll with either a pair of Telefunken EL84 (Germany), Valvo EL84 (Germany) or Philips EL84 (Holland). That's all the info I have on the tubes. I'm looking for a warmer sound that is as balanced as the stock Sovtek EL84M (the ones with the russian designation for the tube).Could someone please briefly describe the tone of these tubes.
I do realise the amp circuit design plays a part but in general how would ya describe these tubes.
Follow Ups:
I just did a little "roundup" of EL84s down a few threads. Covered both the Valvo and the Holland Amperex.

I have Valvo EL-84 tubes that are Mullards. Came in a yellow box with red tube on it. Mullards sound great IMO.

Are your Valvo's made in UK or Germany?
Valvo did make EL84's at the Hamburg plant in 50's also. These are real fine tubes, at par if not better than the Mullards. Of course Valvo also rebranded Mullards and East European tubes later on.
