  I have one. Pretty good basic info. But still has commercial leanings and bias towards SF/Anthem 'design ideals' of course. JMHO. YMMV.

      It's just that I had a bad experience once with an Anthem Pre1 (w/ Phono) when I was a newbie. The dealer didn't tell me the preamp was discontinued when he sold me the preamp around early '97 (I think he knew, it was his last unit) . It was full of problems; still is. His tech can't troubleshoot the problem it developed just within a month of ownership (bad design 1-piece wafer-thin crct. board IMHO). Can't send it to SF then for repairs (I live in Asia!), too much hassle and it will cost me more $$$.

        I've never owned SF or Anthem gear so...the book has enough info to be worthwhile though. Most, including myself are not up for an engineering tome.

        Wow, all those dark colored pages, would waste a lot of ink especially if you had a Lexmark printer, Lexmark printers are hungry, good thing the thrift stores dont know anything about laser printers with cheap paper and cheap toners 67 pages is nothing.
