Hi.
I be use :
1.Two CCS in place of AT7 plate resistors.
2.4V acid battery on AT7 cathodes of two nicads for 2.6V
Run the AT7 hot and you get max gain this way.
I not sure but maybe CCS on EL84 cathodes make a self adjustment on
givem plate and grid voltage plus current.
