if using a 100ohm pot and dc on the 300b are these (2) 22ohm resisters really needed on the filaments ? thanks

What 22 ohms resistors?
BTW If you have really clean DC, I wouldn't use a hum pot. I don't see a purpose.

thanks for the reply Tre... the 22 ohm resistors are on the hum pot outer wipers to the center wiper... yes dc on the 300B filaments using Schottky diodes and a Hammond choke... it would seem that tentlabs filament supplys may be the way to go..
I had 100 ohm hum pots on the 300Bs, AC heated. Then I built LCRCL DC supplies using critical inductance input chokes. At that point it no longer mattered where I set the hum pot, no hum. So I got rid of the hum pots and just use 22 ohm resistors to create the "cathode" connections.

thanks for the explaining... I am using the hum pot with no 22 ohm resistors... it would seem that I should add them...
They will make the adjustment more precise but also draw more current from the filament supply.
