The connection timed out for me. There might be something with my firewall or whatever.
But I thought I would mention an amp I saw years ago, and I have a print of it but not on this PC, and the other one is not online. Plus it might take a year to find it.
It ran a pair of tubes push pull for the L+R signal, but drove them in parallel for the L-R signal. There was an interesting arrangement of output transformers, with the primary of the L-R being in series with the power going to the L+R transformer. It was all sorted out at the secondaries.
A novel idea, but not something I would ever build.
the output tube is 2 x 6bq5 under glass.
Just a note:
it is not my amplifier, I just thought it interesting.

Since this is a stereo amp are the two Z mount black transformer the output transformers? And the A frame unit a choke? That would indicate this is line operated?
NOTE IF THIS IS LINE OPERATED, THE RCA JACK GROUND IS ONE SIDE OF THE AC LINE!
USE AN ISOLATION TRANSFORMER WHEN PLAYING WITH IT!
I don't see anything to indicate that this is a line operated device. In the photo he posted, the power trans is on the right, the dual OPT is on the left, and there's a filter choke in the middle. That's what it looks like to me, anyway. The hookup diagram stuck to the top of the OPT definitely shows stereo in and out.

Looks to me that it has one OPT for both channels. If so, I wonder what the channel separation is?
As I said earlier, it is not mine, and of course I don't have a schematic.

Probably no different than having a single 12AX7 as the first voltage amp for both channels in a power amp.
Yes, a "Matrix" amp. A+B from the push-pull transformer, A-B from the smaller SE transformer, and those outputs are added and subtracted to get channel A and B to the speakers.
Would work in a small phonograph, with cartridge outputs wired out-of-phase. And of course, there are no other inputs. There's one of these at the AWA museum (recent donation) - I can see if there's a manual for it.

Nice find, don't think I've seen that one before. Can't be too many of those left. Recommend you don't modify it; the value is wholly in its factory-original quirkiness. :)

Something that unique should be repaired but not modified. Even if it sounds like crap, it's an interesting technology that should be preserved as a demonstration piece.
One tube envelope containing 2 tubes.
