Actually each of the set amps has a separate psu chassis and each was designed using psud2 and well established guidelines, so I don't think that was it. Thanks for the info though.

So, you're saying that each of the PSs is well designed but different in one way or another from each other? If so, then that is parallel with the Ongaku/Kegon comparison that I heard: different output tubes and different PSs. I had assumed that all three of your SETs were using identical PSs, albeit maybe delivering different DC voltages to suit the different output tubes.
I was mainly addressing the fact that the se amps all have separate psu modules. They are similar in design but have different value components.
