Good day Gentlemans.
Hope you can help me out.Had a accident with the output tube in my lampi dac and now i have hiss and pops on the left output on the ref 3 with loud pops when i turning the volume up and down together with hiss that follows the volume.Measured for dc and getting musch higher dc on that output, any ideas??Including a picture of the schematic so maybe you gurus can tell me where to start. What do you think about the image?Do you think that those volume control chips have something to do with the problems?
The reason you are getting pops and clicks is is because you popped an IC and you are getting DC offset on the volume pot. This was very common with GAS and SAE preamps back in the day and they could pop an op amp and that would generate
DC on the volume pot and in turn to the output. You have lot of SS circuitry in ARC products and if you shoot me a schematic I can tell which IC it is.

Whatever accident you had with your DAC may have put a lot of voltage on the output. This likely fried the downstream components in your ARC. No telling the damage, but DC on the output is bad. Time to take it into the shop.
Ok,i suspect that as well but what do you think is the first to give in?
Start with the order the voltage comes in. Hopefully the first component in line failed and prevented damage downstream. That you are getting DC at the output is concerning, however.
I can send you a a shematic if i get your mail so maybe you can point me in the right direction.
