Do you really need the level of resolution afforded by dividing to 5V? Can you divide down to something like 0.5V instead? If so, you could use a 1meg in series with 1K. Current draw would only be about 1/2mA, and dissipation in the 1meg only 0.25W. Four 250k resistors in series would ensure that their individual voltage rating isn't exceeded.

I like that idea for space savings (using smaller resistors).
Maybe I can scale each of my inputs to a more realistic voltage vs trying to get them all with one sized fits all voltage divider.
I don't think the Arduino is as accurate at lower voltages but will do some reading on it.

OK, you could use a 1meg and a 10K. That will divide to 5V (4.95).

If you need resolution either way, try 3volts. 5 volts is the max you should run the input pin.
