Hi StephenR,Your input was appreciated. I see you built your own preamp, but use a Ear 509 amp on Tannoys in your main system. Had you been building your own amps on an ongoing and extensive basis, I believe you may develop a different set of wire-use experiences.
In a SE amp, for example, a single run of TCSS for ground will not cut the mustard - at all. Maybe a single run of Kimber TCX night do OKish, ( which is THREE TCSS runs in one bundle...15 gauge rather than 19 gauge.)
A 12 gauge lead of high quality would outperform TCX , however, that Siltec 12 gauge silver wire is COSTLY, and beyond my financial reach. Dennis uses lots of it in his SEer product I believe,

You have no idea about what amps I have experience with, nor for how long, only what I've published on my site. I've been down the road you advocate in this thread and I'm not sure you have it totally right.
