Hi.
My recent project for an audio guy: a cheapie 2x1W IDHT power amp handles gracefully a pair of Westlake BBSM-6 monitors (rated for 91dB/W) with vocals, light pops & classicals in a small living room, driven directly by a cheapie DVD player.
But for hard rocks, you may like to build a more powerful amps.
