Got my 1984 Denon DR-M2 cassette deck today!!

That i talked about a few posts down,Ebay item #150154321334 and it's perfect.Brand new never used for almost 24 years,Door opens smoothly FF and RW are fast and quiet.This deck makes all tapes sound crisp and clean even without a bias fine control (Does'nt need one IMO) but seems to sound best with TDK.3 Head direct drive with beutiful wood side panels.Everything on the deck works perfect,not bad for $45 plus $30 shipping.Go to ebay and punch in the item number to have a look at my new piece..Take care and God Bless,Keith..

Hi, enjoy the DR-M2!! I have one, and also the M3 and they are absolutely fantastic decks for the price. I got mine for $30 locally with manual in fantastic shape, and then the M3 off of Ebay for like $45 with box and manual. It was a steal.

The tape counter is extremely accurate. I was amazed that it could tell you how many seconds were left on a tape when recording. Very handy feature. The M3/M4 has e the "CTS" which will set the bias automatically after the computer does it's thing. It is fun to watch it go through it's paces and the cool blue digital display is nice also. Congrats!

Congrats on a great find! You must've stumbled onto that one seconds after they posted it to get it for that price.
