That model has the same basic transport as the older tube models such as the 6,64,64x etc. The pinch rollers turn to goo with age on these and new ones are hard to find and if you did find an NOS one it may not be in great shape either. However, you can get the original pinch roller rebuilt for reasonable money. The main drive uses a "figure 8" belt and they are still available from at least 2 suppliers last I bought some. The clutch pads are cork and if they are bad new ones can be cut from cork sheet and glued in. These machines actually sound pretty nice and when in good shape have gentle tape handling which is great for playing or archiving those brittle old acetate tapes. Unless this machine is basically free I'd hold off for a tube version like a 64 or 64x as I feel they sound better and would be worth a little more fixed up.

I have a Tandberg 3000x and need a new drive belt for it which are the 2 suppliers I may be able to get one from?
Your help would be appreciated
... for its tubes. I'm still using the Tele 12AX7s I cannabalized from a non-worrking yard sale 64 a dozen years ago. And sold its other Mullards and Teles for more than $100, way back then.
Yes if these have the original tubes in them they can be worth more than the machine itself which is a shame because these really are nice sounding decks. I keep a 64 and 64x that I rebuilt around strictly for archiving old tapes that have gotten to brittle to survive on most 3 motor machines. They also have better freq response especially at the lower speeds than most of the competing machines from that era. Speaking of old TEACs I have a 507 which was the only all TUBE TEAC that is 1/2 track stereo. Even has separate mono rec/play electronics. Was also sold under the Concertone name and it uses the same transport as the 505. Sucker wasn't cheap new at $655.00 but even the Tandberg was $498...
I've lost the power cord for my Tandberg 64x. Anyone know where I can get a replacement?
