I have never used this Audiocasette and i have a Question
On some photos this Teac tape has one Reel and on another it has 2.Sealed it look like it comes with one Reel
but how can it work with only 1?say I buy one tape and it comes with 1 Reel like on the photo
can it still be recorded on?and on the photo where it has 2 reels hub is that only for Show off?
or is the other Reel modded to work like a Empty hub.Is this Teac open tape supose to work with 1 or 2 Reels ?
And if it only works with 1, how do i make it work with 2
so i can mix 2 colors like on the photo?

These were available (at least in Canada) in the early 80's. I still have the cassette and 3 (mini) reels of tape that I still use. However, when old, I noted that the tape may not track straight. Possibly due to tape stretching over time. The packaging you see is just the cassette cartridge and a take-up reel. You also get 3 reels of tape with it when you buy it as a set. There was no real point in it other than good looks as the Teac tape at the time was pretty decent.
On the link below it is evident that open cassette was sold as a blank reel ( frame plus one blank reel) and reel tape.

I have never seen them in store, could be only Far East specialty. I wonder how much it cost. Tape is threaded from a full reel through the cassette to an empty reel.Kinda cool, instead of carrying let say 6 cassettes, you carry only one and six tiny rolls of tape

Does the label not say this is a reel holder? could it be this is used just like an R2R take up reel where you would but a full reel into the holder and then thread the leader to the built in reel?I have only ever seen these once before and never thought about it.
