The Asylum sure is running FAST these days! Is it just me? I use dial-up and it's like instantaneous, for reading and posting. This has been ongoing for a few days, at all times, so maybe it's permanent? I sure don't expect *my* ISP has done any improvements...

Wow! That's good to hear.I'd been fighting a db server problem for months and finally decided to try upgrading mySQL to the latest 4.0.5. I also noticed that db connects seemed much faster. So far, it looks good....knock on wood.

Great! This new release of mySQL is much more finely tuned with big improvement in the speed of connection and execution. I also noticed that all the boolean stuff in the advanced search works now too, so those bugs were fixed.Knock on wood, it also looks like our problems on that server were fixed. But we' won't know for sure for a while. It's one of those problems that you don't know is fixed until it never comes back. Keep your fingers crossed.
