14watts is kinda puney for minimonitors, not terribly efficient you know. Just got my RTS3's yesterday. They do many things right, very cohesive sound, they rock fairly well but I have 200watts per channel. Piano seems to be their only weakness besides occasionally sounding muddy. Not the last word in speakers by any stretch of the imagination but for $150 they are impressive. My Ascends ($300 delivered)came in today and will be listening to them this weekend. GR P1's are $600 factory built and haven't found anyone who will answer an email to sell me a used pair cheaper. GR's AV-1 is replacing the P1 and is said to be better sounding and more foregiving with cheaper SS gear. Also want to hear the Monitor Audio Bronze 1. Won two HT multi speaker shoot outs.

Follow Ups:
Very nice speakers that were not the least bit forward or bright. They were very smooth, yet detailed and the bass was very tight and articulate. I think my friend is selling his version 1's (the ones before the upgrade). The cabinets are lined with Black Hole 5, etc.Great little speaker that can play any type of music.
Make sure to line the enclosure with sound absorber/insulation makes a big difference.

There are a pair of Paradox 1's on www.audiogon.com if you are interested in used...

One guy won't answer his email and the other guy wants to much. I can get the new AV-1's with the new woofer for just a little more than he is asking but thanks anyway.

I've listened to the Paradox and the AV'1 (older woofer) and think the tweeter in the Paradox is in a different category. It is really nice, much better than the one in the AV'1. I absolutely love the sound of the Paradox tweet. My friend's used pair is sold, unfortunately...
Go for the Axiom M22Ti's for 340. I got them today, and they are amazing!
