Thanks for the link. It has a wealth of information. It was very interesting to read the different opinions of the different people about the Beyerdynamic DT 990. Some thought it was a pretty decent headphone, others thought it was can not keep up with todays headphones. I also hear the strong bass and the somewhat over pronounced highs (when played louder).I don’t listen often enough with headphones to justify a new purchase of better cans. Does anyone know a tweak to fix the frequency response on those cans? Mine are the old 600 ohm version cans (actually I measures 570 ohms) I use the speaker output on my Conrad Johnson CAV 50 to drive them and sometimes a German headphone amp – Amity HPA 2, manufactured by an American living in Gemany.
