Dennis states he doesn't make any money on the Affordable Accuracy monitors, but that "loss leaders" are sometimes good for business. See post #29 in the link below.
He's been doing this for about 10 years, with various iterations, including replacing the tweeter and crossovers in the Andrew Jones Pioneer speakers when they were out back about 8 yrs ago.
Follow Ups:
Those seem like an interesting project. Imay need to invent a reason to start this project.
The crossovers arrived about a couple hours ago, glasses are for scale.
Put the kit together, initial listen was impressive, but only a couple of songs as the wife needed to sleep. I need to put the floor spikes back on the stands, and some blue tack between the speakers and stands, and let the positioning fun begin.
They won't replace my 1.7s of course, but for the overall price the initial listen sounded very nice.
They look great. Nice job.
Thanks Brody. They are just assembly, no soldering required nor much thinking. Took about 45 min start to finish. The quick "did I do it right, do they work?" test went fine, now begins the fun of finding the the best position, toe in, etc in the room. That's the part I find most fun.

Tweeter offset like that to help reduce edge diffraction often has a far better polar response to listening position and driver acoustic alignment with tweeters on outside.
During the 80s and 90s many Mark's in British Japan and German m had the mirror offset drivers. Mostly in the British market did you get the inside vs outside differences with many marking a left or right to speakers to define that Mark's preference.
For me, as long as not near side wall, offset out usually wins out.
But even with this known, owners of offset tweeters ought to try both configs to see what they prefer
Dennis Murphy says, in regards to tweeters in or out on these speakers based on the PE BR-1 kit, the answer is "Yes".
See second post in this thread (post #17,802) from 7/3/22 in the link below.
John, not yet, I had about 10 min before my wife went to bed. I just slapped them down on the stands to get a proof that they were working. Today I will be putting the spikes and blue tack on the stands, and beginning the process of finding the best orientation and position for them.
