I think the music ranges from mediocre to quite good at times, but it's not consistently good enough that I can listen to the whole album in a sitting without getting bored. It's better than his other solo albums but it's not at the level of Pink Floyd.
As for the lyrics, it's a jaded old man rant against religion, especially televangelism, pop media, headline news as entertainment, and its glorification of war. But I can't find anything notably anti-semitic in it.
Follow Ups:
Lots of clever soundstage effects even in the 2-channel Q-Sound mix, so the 2015 5.1 remix should sound REALLY trippy on a suitable surround system.
The music? Meh. Only a couple of memorable tunes on the whole thing.
Lyrics? Typical angry, bitter Roger Waters cynicism. Guy hasn't written a compassionate song since DSOTM.
What made Floyd great was the creative tension between Waters' piss 'n' vinegar and Gilmour's melodicism, which seemed to spur both to excel at songwriting. NONE of the guys' post-breakup work comes anywhere close to their best.

One can argue the same for Lennon & McCartney. One cynical to the nth degree and the other all syrup. Working together, they cranked out some great tunes. Working solo, neither had any magic for me.
Really? I've got Amused to Death, and I regard it more as a sound effects disc, rather than music. If his other solos are worse than this, then thanks for the head's up!
"Suddenly, I'm not half the man I used to be. 'Cause now I'm an amputee" J. Lennon
I disagree. I like all of Rogers works.
"Big man, pig man, ha ha charade you are.
You well heeled big wheel, ha ha charade you are."
R. Waters
Because of Rogers political views, most people feel he is anti-semitic.

You well heeled big wheel, ha ha charade you are."
