Hello there. I'm going to replace the good old Cabasse Riva of my main stereo system, and after researching a while -and confined by the very narrow options available in Argentina- I am seriously considering the Signature S2 V3. They would be hooked to a sweet but very low power tube amp: the Unison Research Simply Italy (they declare 91db, just 1db below my current Cabasse, so that should not be a problem), and helped from the low end by a solid 12" Velodyne. They would go in a small / medium room, and mostly play jazz, classical and acoustic rock.
Does anyone have experience with these speakers (versions 2 or 3) paired with a tube amp -or any experience at all? Any feedback would be extremely welcome.

I have the S2v2. Used with a Quicksilver Mini-Mono tube amp (25 watts) in medium sized room w/ no problems.
No experience with that particular speaker but the 91 db figure is probably an exaggerated number...not pointing fingers at Paradigm, many speaker companies do this.
I'm not saying they won't work with your amp, as sometimes unexpected combinations can perform very well. I also use a single-ended EL-34 based amp and it works extremely well with the 91 db / 4 ohm ProAc D38 speakers I have. I doubt the 91 db figure provided by ProAc is accurate, but a few db +/- shouldn't deter you from trying.
Can you bring your amp to a Paradigm dealer to try the combination?
Thanks for the feedback. Provided that Cabasse also exaggerates a bit, I'll be on the safe side in terms of volume. Good idea : I'll bring the amp when I go audition the speakers. I was hoping to get some more experienced opinions about their sound, since there isn't much to be found on the web -and since these beauties cost two months of my salary here, so I didn't want to rely just on my years!-, but I guess I'm not lucky...
