BigGuy,I read your post, and you make some good points. Here are my thoughts and observations:
If you want to be taken seriously, you have to learn "spelling" and "grammar". In this regard, your post is a mess. Please don't blame it on technology.
Moving on,...
Just so we're all clear here, the fundamentals of psychoacoustics have been well-understood for several decades.
Please, for the umpteenth time, I beg all AA inmates to buy (and read) two books:
"Music, Physics and Engineering" by Harry Olson, and
"Why You Hear What You Hear" by Eric Heller. For those who qualify, get a student or associate membership in AES (aes.org)
Next:
Your wife is EXACTLY correct. This is NOT a wife/husband joke. She is a musician, and understands and hears the difference. Learn from that.

While this not a professional journal or even anything close to a published article - I will, for the second time, take your grammar improvement to heart.
Thanks for the advise...

Hey BigGuy,Thanks for your thoughtful and civil reply. True, this isn't a technical journal nor a published article. However, I've always been of the view that when a professional in a field writes, in a public venue/forum, about a topic in that field, they should put their best foot forward, so to speak. It's analogous to a professional musician giving a student a lesson and crapping over the notes because "it's not a concert". All too often these days, it's considered OK to have poor grammar and, especially, spelling. I disagree with that mindset. In addition, it often requires the reader to re-read something multiple times, in order to correctly understand what the writer meant to write, which is irritating and a waste of the reader's time. See what I'm sayin'?
:)
