Lots of OLD gear there lol, except for the subs and disc player all more than 4 decades and still producing beautiful music. The amps, speakers, and TT have seen a few minor modifications, but all for sonic improvements not electronic failure.

I didn't want to say vintage. But seriously looking at that picture takes me way back in time. A good friend still has his 1970 something Sansui receiver, tape deck, and Technics turntable nothing wrong with that.
Beauty is in the ear of the beholder.

It's only one of my systems, but all are a bit shall we say "vintage?" The guest rm setup is more 90's but still has that vintage feel. Would love to get another matching sub there too, but they're kind of rare and still holding their value. When I get the chance to score another I'm all over it.As for running low bass enclosures (subs) in stereo. It seems many get caught up in the terminology and assume there's no content that's localizable, maybe it was the hard sell by Bose? Maybe it was the retailers worried about convincing the consumers they needed two? Well those that know know different and are enjoying the benefits.
It's kind of like the feedback often heard about vertical biamping (on another less knowledgeable forum). I've been biamping and running stereo subs for almost 40 yrs beginning with car audio in my youth. The Infinity speakers in the picture are being biamped with a pair of Belles Model I amps. As for power, way overkill, but what it does for the soundstage can't be denied once heard. Both of my main rigs are biamped, I modified the Heresys crossover to allow this.
