Got them delivered from my local dealer that I have been doing business with lately (audio doctor nj) I bought his demo pr as I know they were broken in. I'm using target stands and an all Manley system with a rega rp8 tt.After 5 hrs I'm still getting chills. They have a full presentation that is instrument tone accurate. Volcals are amazing, bass is outstanding you would look for the sub woofer if you just walked in. Clarity is better than any speaker I've owned (and I have owned many over 40 years) I'm hearing background voices, instruments and other things in the recording, an example - even more of the click clock horse on billy Joel's Billie the kid.
Any way, I am very impressed.

Very cool! Always liked these speakers, although I haven't owned a pair. Enjoy them!
I'm loving these speakers. I filled the target stands with cat litter. They are the original welded with a large diamond post and smaller diamond post behind it. Played around with hight and positioning.
They are tuned in! I just been spinning album all morning. Stevie Ray little wing sounded like I was in the studio. The kick drum actually had punch that I felt when I turned it up. I was able to hear the guitar amp distort on one of the licks! Very impressive.
Going the opposite Elton John tumble weed connection the tone and accuracy of his volcals and piano were spot on.
Joni Mitchel -Blue showed the delicacy and texture these speakers can reproduce.
Needless to say I spent about 30 hours over a week with them. It's a purchase I'm very happy with.
Cables are next!
Nice, enjoy. I first heard ATC at Axpona, really impressed.
I've had my pair (ASM 19 v.2) for about a month and a half now. Traded in my ASM 11 v.2's on a generous deal with Music Direct.
I agree with your comments and note there are significant sonic differences between the ASM 11 and ASM 19 that are not revealed by a review of the specifications of each. More impact and texture to LF instruments, music has more solid presentation at louder levels. Rock really rocks while small acoustic instrumentals and vocals retain the sweetness of the ASM 11's. I am very happy with my 19's.
Cheers,
Ian
How would you compare the midrange of the ATCs with that of the Quads?
Terry
The midrange with vocals sounds similar to the quads maybe a little recessed in comparison but very natural. it's the bass and the sparkle in the top end that really make them shine. They also produce a wall of music.
Thanks for the review - these are high on my list for next serious audio purchase.. if you don't mind, can you please comment on the sound-stage depth?
Being its a small room, I have the speakers out about 26" from the front wall, 8" from side wall toed in a little. The depth sound stage is excellent considering the room size. My wife made a comment that "it sounds like a concert without distortion" music fills the room and specific vocals and instruments are in places where they were recorded or sung. She has golden ears.....even wears ear plugs to protect her ears when I'm jumping on the volume in my main system.
Her take was - now you can sell the Quads!. I said never!
Good to know. Thanks!
Terry
I know I would love those, as I've heard a few models with that *incredible* midbass driver... Enjoy every last little sonic detail those bad-boys can deliver!
