The IRS 1a for 3.500 is a way better deal.
I would buy them today if I lived withing pickup distance.
great deal , until and if you have to replace the mids, which are pretty much unobtainable.
It is the IRS Beta which have an impossible to find midrange.
The EMIM only problem is (as mentioned in ad) breaking off the connectors from the EMIM.
Some folks most certainly bought the Australian replacement innard film for EMIM before Infinity stopped them from selling them.
So those folks may have a dozen or more original innards for EMIM.
With a home made jig to line up the outer plates, it is easy to swap the film.
Or even drill a tiny hole into the spot where the pin broke off and insert a new (different) pin
try instead infinity RS II 's great sound, less problem getting replacement drivers. http://www.infinity-classics.de/
