It was an accidental not paying attention to the volume and not knowing a source component was on that blew the tweeter not intentional high volume. I am goint to get a limited time discounted crossover terminal cup for a sony passive sub I found.
I was intending to just keep the raw woofer, but i am too lazy to build anything lol.
I use the system mostly for music and movies at lower volume. I might get another receiver with digital input later on...
Follow Ups:
If you don't have the equipment and experience to match up a 3rd party tweeter, you're likely to end up with something that doesn't perform as well. For example, it could be several dB louder or quieter than the original and probably won't blend well with the woofer without crossover changes.
I recently bought some parts from them for a 20 year old Monitor 4 bookshelf. They still have some parts for legacy speakers.
Mavin.com sells surplus of the original tweeter.
