Hi
Anybody know when Proac was producing these?

IIRC, the Super had a larger, mdf cabinet and was produced at the end of the 90s, so the seller's description makes sense. I think the Super was an attempt to get more bass and dynamic range out of the Tablette format at a time when everyone and his dog was wanting their hifi rig to also do home theatre duty. Justified or not -- I've not heard them -- a prevailing opinion was that the Supers didn't have quite the same magic as the originals. The current Tablette Ref 8 returned to the birch ply cabinet and smaller dimensions of the originals.
FWIW, my own Ref 8 Sigs sounded pretty awful when I loaned them to a friend with entry level MF components and a large-ish room: tipped up, thined out, and not very coherent. My own experience is that the Tablettes like tubes and smaller rooms. So system context will matter, likely more than usual.
I've got them. The Super Tablette is actually the same speaker as the regular Tablette but with the crossover mod first implemented by Joahim Gerhard from Audio Physic fame and Response 1 (scan speak) tweeter. The modfication returned to England and was incorporated by Proac with the new name Super tablette. 'm not fan of small miniature "monitors" but move dictates changes (a lot;) will see. Thank You for valuable info!

I have owned a pair of Super EBT's (Extended Bass Tablettes) that I purchased new in 1985 at a then retail price of $850. The Super EBT's have the same footprint of the Tablettes but have an additional bass driver in MTM arrangement. I believe the Super Tablette (and EBT) was the second generation of the Tablette that ProAc offered so the original design must have ceased production by 1985.
I think they were making them all through the 1990s as well. Still some of the best sound I've ever heard, driven by Cary SETs
Any ProAc tablettes or super tablettes are worth 350$ if in very good condition
