I have a very tight (width wise) situation for speakers/Monitor but want the best possible setup. The only speaker that I've found that works perfectly is the Anthony Gallo Reference AV's. The Link below or the picture above is a Computer drawing of the cabinate where my TV monitor, speakers and amp will reside. In the link below there are two picture; one with The Gallo's and the one with Sonus Faber Cremona Auditor M's..
I'd actually prefer the Auditors but they are a very tight fit horizontally and will have to be pushed up against the wall. They also look unnatural in the setting (I think)
Any thoughts on a high quality speaker that will fit on a bookshelf and around 6" wide would be most appreciated..
Amp is a McIntosh MA6500
Sub is a Rel R 303

Follow Ups:
You want to be looking at in-wall speaker designs. Anything else is going to have an extreme boost from the mid-range down.
I have looked at B&W plus Meridian in wall but they are to wide but agree that that would be the best if they would fit.
Thanks
Checked your link.
I don't know what effect this would have on acoustics, but pulling out the TV 4" or so to line up with the Gallo's would look a whole lot better...
Try your rendering with the TV further out and see.
Cheers,
Presto
Thanks for the response but he supplier (Chelsea audio Portland Oregon) said it is best to keep the speakers forward of the monitor. The picture above is their recommended placement forward/back.
The main reason why I'm exploring other speakers is that my wife doesn't like the look of the Gallos and would rather have a speaker that is flat in the front and mounted flush with the monitor, much as you suggest.
Difficult to find, in a high audio quality speaker about 6" wide and that can be put up against a wall.
Thanks, Oregoncoast
