(speaking of audio note) seemed to be able to play most music, regardless of recording quality well. My Tannoy's (D700) are very much like that, but more detailed and balanced. Detailed with ease, I call it :)

I agree that Snell speakers are good,I've had several versions, but the AN are clearly more musical enjoyable in my opinion. They are now made to be placed in corners, and thats where they shine "bass-wise" ,the Snells made by Peter Snell were not.Off-course the AN E are Snell Es in basic, but AN has also worked a lot with them since the EII(or was it III) .
I have heard few Tannoys, but peoples opinion I respect a lot say many of them are very good sounding.
BTW,here is one that had Tannoys earlier ;-)

Kind regards,

I was comparing my tannoy's with the snell's, not to your AN's. And only in the sense of playing a wide variety of music easily. I would never, in this highly subjective hobby, say that one obviously good speaker is better than another.
this is a highly subjective hobby, and I guess if it wasn't so we would have only 2 or 3 speakers to choose between ! ;-)
