Speaker Asylum

I am a nut-case (which is why I am here at the Asylum) and I have a chance to completely destroy some Thiel components and would like some thoughts from those far more knowledgeable than me. I have a chance to get a pair of 04a speakers (2-ways) and also CS-3 mid drivers and XOs for really cheap. So what I would like to do is cut another hole into the 04a cabinets, mount the CS-3 mids and install the CS-3 XOs. I have no technical data on the XOs, the 04a drivers or the CS-3 mid drivers. About the only things meaningful I can tell you is that to 04a cabinets are ported, whereas the CS-3's are not. While I don't know for sure, I would suspect that might have an impact on the LF XO frequency. So - anyone out there with short, uncomplicated input/answers?? Keep in mind that I am intellectually challenged, so please be gentle..... Thanks
