I'm confussed. Everything I read on the Vandersteen website says they can not be used with bananan plugs due to the barrier strip. My manual only gives directions for connecting them with banana plugs. My manual is for 2CE. Did I get the wrong manual or haven't they update it for the Sig.?

The 2Ce uses bananas, the signature edition does not.Later model 2Ce speakers can be upgraded to Signature. Look for serial number 77000 and higher
The original 2ce used banana plugs; the 2ce Signature uses the barrier strip. I just bought a pair of 2ce Sig IIs (they're awesome)and the manual is for the original 2ce, wherein the banana plug connections are described, with an insert for using the barrier strip of the Signature version. I think the Sigs have been out for at least 8 years. I can hardly believe they haven't had a chance to update the stinkin' manual in that time (did they print 100,000?). By comparison, the Vandersteen website is updated quick as lightning!
