Thanks for the great review !
There is just no way that the driver is operating as a " rigid piston " over all of its range , especially with a first order crossover in a two way design !
And all the Marble Cabinets and Technobabble in the world unfortunately cant change the laws of physcics.
Be that as it may , if the breakup modes are well controlled , it can sound ok.
Very few speakers operate truly pistonically , and most are 3 ways.

Thanks for the thoughtful review, Dennis.
I have some thoughts on positioning, now that the Europas are broken in, when you've time to call. The owner's manual describes why we voice the speaker with the grill on, and addresses why your toe-in is less than recommended. I like your 200lb-technique!!Respectfully ka7niq, you are dead wrong about your non-rigid comments.
Orangeman, we have found that the cast marble improves low bass extension and dynamic response, and clarity. It does not sound sterile or "cool". A proper formulation of cast marble has far less sound of its own than MDF, and our prototype wood boxes demonstrated the significant difference it made. However, there are many different resins that can be used in "cast marble"- many of them ring like a bell. I have not heard the Norh's so I cannot say if they succeeded in making a good cabinet. If you want to quickly investigate if a speaker mfg is talking smack about "non-resonant cabinets", put on a stethoscope and listen to the cabinet sides/back/top/front, in the very-low bass range, and in the middle of the voice range. You will hear what is right/wrong very quickly. I am truly amazed that reviewers don't ever do this!
Not to mention that even the marble (or even synthetic marble) cabinet idea has been seen elsewhere as well, namely Norh audio. I've heard their speakers, and they also have a cool and clean sound. Must be the result of the marble cabinet. And they use very high-end drivers in the Norh 9.0 (Scanspeak Revelator tweeter and mid). However, after you acclimate to their sound, they are no better or worse than a speaker in mdf. Infact, after the initial awe, I again started to prefer the warmth of a speaker made from mdf.
