Well, It isnt really a weakness for me either Brad , but my son does listens it, and he felt the VR 2 was weak in its inability to handle Rap at high levels.
For some , perhaps not you and I , it is a weakness , isnt it ?
No speaker is everything to everyone , and the VR 2 certainly isnt the speaker of choice for rap music, or Techno either.
Not that it does a bad job , but it takes a special speaker to handle this type of " music " !
BTW , my son loved the midrange and imaging of the VR 2 !
He just felt it didnt "hit" hard enough for him.
He has My old Klipsch Epic CF 4 's at his house, bi amped !
In case you arent familiar with a CF 4 , it has 2 12's with huge neo Magnets driving large voice coils in a box the size of a coffin !
Its 102 db efficient , and has lots of power driving it too.
It hits like you wouldnt believe !Make no mistake, VR2 is a great speaker , but a rap speaker its not.
And for some, that may be a weakness , so I made note of it.
