About the best sounding Power Amps I have heard in recent months had a 45 driving an 845 IT coupled with Parafeed for both driver and OP. Lots of nickel lams in the tranny's and silver secondaries, etc.All of the attributes of a 45 amp with 20 Watts a channel in not a bad thing.

could that have been the latest set of amps from Josh Stippich?
Yup.And they sound even better than they look, if that is possible.
You lucky guy!
Doh! ;-> LOL - everyone but me seems to have heard them already. Glad to hear the opinions are good! I can hardly wait... should be coming my way soon. Sounding better than they look - then the sound must be unbelieveably good! I am excited.
I gets to hear them this next weekend. Ed, I saw them the first time the other day. Gobsmacking! I hear my linestage may be ready too. TC

Terry, stop teasing me! ;-) hopefully I will see/hear them soon too. I am going to have Josh build me a linestage too I think. I just scored a dozen NOS WE 354A's for him as partial trade... it's the thyratron rectifier I think he is going to use in the line stage... big monster, 9" long, 16A filament... merc. vapor of course.Best of luck with your linestage too! keep us all posted (pics too!)
... and how much are the tickets?
LOL - hopefully sometime after Oct. 25th or so, I should have them... if you are in the area, let me know, maybe I can arrange some time for you to listen to them at my house... ? Feel free to email.
