No I have not. In fact, I E-mailed AES and asked if the SE-1 could be modified to play 45's and they replied in the negative.

Interesting. The reason I asked is I have a scan of the bias setting instructions page for AES SE-1 and it lists
300B 138mA to 150mA
2A3 110mA
6A3 110mA
45 90mA
as bias adjustment values. Perhaps this page is shipped with other models as well. elifino :)*sigh* and I thought I has a perfectly good reason to buy 45s.
Yes, it says that in my instruction manual as well. That is why I E-mailed AES. Looks like they need to do some clean up work on there manuals.Anyway, if you never have heard a 45 Amp, I would definately recommend that you do so. I just picked up a demo version of a Wavelength Gemini and love it. At the present time, I prefer the 45 to the 2A3.
