Dave,Have you tried reversing the polarity of your speaker cables. There was a thread about polarity and hum with single ended amps a few weeks ago. I tried it with my Fi Super X 2a3 amp and Oris Horns, and it reduced the hum substantially.

I was curious to read this, since I also have a similar poweramp and horns. What's the theory behind it, and has this trick affetced the sound in any other way?

I found the thread--it was on the full-range board < http://f18.parsimony.net/forum31999/messages/20720.htm> It points to an article that offers up theory--I am in no position to comment on it. I was so impressed by the noise reduction, I haven't gotten around to switching it back to see if there is a down side. Let us know what you think--it is a free and easy tweak!
