Some people like to listen to music for the sake of music, and don't care if others deem it as "embarrassing".....And I think it's wrong to seek denial of a report of an artist because you happen to dislike the artist.
It's as if you fear finding out the Moody Blues actually puts out a quality product, and don't want the reality to be known.

I think too many people reject good music because of the fear of "embarrassment".... And then turn around and administer a little "embarrassment" whenever someone happens to like something which these people were afraid to try for that very reason.I think this hits at the very core of what's wrong with music today.

at least not on DVD. They still sound good and look kind of almost ok. FAR less embarass than the Stones, or even Paul Macca. LESS embarass than Peter Gabriel or Phil Collins who now look like old men.

Gross topic, I know, but I dragged friends to see Ray CHarles just for that reason, and MISSED the RIGHTEOUS brothers. So this may be the last chance, and I am kicking myself for not seeing them with Ray.

I got news for you, we're ALL in it...good thing the MBs still "look kind of almost ok", otherwise that would have been an extra ticket (or two?) they might not have sold. I think I now understand your obsession with "looks", who is "ugly" and who isn't, and why that may have such an impact on who you'll see live.You grew up watching MTV, didn't you?

Be aware that BB King has to remain seated while performing (for you!) these days due to health concerns. This may not agree with your particular sensibility regarding stage presence and "looks".

Although I dislike Streisand, and wouldn't spend $20 to see her, let alone two grand, if someone thinks it's money well-spent..... Although I might strongly disagree with the opinion, the person still has the right to say it. And under such circumstance, if one enjoys it in spite of the financial outlay, that's all what matters.Streisand is like Bose- What seems ghastly overpriced to one is a bargain to another. And like her or not, like Bose, Streisand is in high demand, hence people are willing to pay those prices.
Heck if I otherwise think she's amongst the most-overrated music artists of all time.....
and quite disturbing to see those 2 words on this board.
