Prefab Sprout and Thomas Dolby happen to be the core influence of Aleks Syntek.... Posted in English (!) on a BBC fan site a few years ago, pleading for a tour in Latin America.... (Although I don't think anybody else who saw that post even knew who Syntek was. That page is gone now.)That influenced me to try the Paddy McAloon album called "I Trawl the Megahertz", which I listened to last year. A very musical album. If it had more variation and spontaneity to it, it could have been something special....
